The Firewall Is Up: Join the Professional Resistance
The same tactics once used on immigrants are now aimed at every profession. The Firewall Network is here to fight back.
"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any."
— Alice Walker
"The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls."
— Elizabeth Cady Stanton
It is here.
The same tactics once used to raid immigrant homes are now appearing in conference rooms and classrooms. The same tools once used to track undocumented workers are now targeting doctors, journalists, lawyers, scientists, teachers, and tech workers. The fire that burned at the margins has jumped into the heart of our institutions.
If you think your position, your title, or your reputation will protect you, look again. Authoritarianism is moving through our workplaces. It is silencing voices. It is rewriting rules overnight. If we do not stop it, it will use our own professions to cement its power.
The immigrant community has been here before. For decades, it has fought back, developing tools to survive, to organize, and to resist. One of the most powerful was the Red Card, a pocket-sized shield against unconstitutional abuse. Today, everyone needs a shield like that.
The Firewall Network is built for this moment. We are organizing professionals across every sector: law, healthcare, education, tech, media, nonprofits, hospitality, agriculture, and public service. Our purpose is to defend our workplaces from being turned into the machinery of authoritarian rule.
Our first defense is the Resistance Card. This is a downloadable, printable guide to your rights in the workplace, customized for your profession. Each card is a reminder of what you can refuse and an invitation to join others who will refuse with you.
Our new website, www.thefirewallnetwork.com, is where you can find these cards, learn how to use them, and connect with others building the professional resistance.

We Need Your Voice
The Firewall Network is not finished. It never will be. We are building it together, and your feedback is one of our most powerful tools.
Every professional reading this has knowledge, perspective, and warnings the rest of us need. You see where the pressure is building. You know where the lines are about to be crossed. We need you to tell us what works about these cards, what does not, and what new cards we should create.
Your insight can make this network stronger.

When You See It, Report It
A firewall does not just block attacks. It detects them. When authoritarian power crosses the line in your workplace or institution, we need to know.
Our Incident Reporting Form lets you securely document what happened, where it happened, and who was involved. Your report helps us connect the dots between events that seem isolated, identify patterns, and take targeted action in court, in the press, and in public.
This is how we keep the fire from spreading.

This Is Our Line in the Sand
History will not remember us for the titles we held or the institutions we served. It will remember us for whether we defended them when it mattered.
The immigrant community has shown us that resistance is not abstract. It is a daily discipline. It happens in small, courageous refusals that add up to an unbreakable wall. The Resistance Cards are the first bricks in that wall. The Firewall Network is where we build it higher, together.
We will not allow our workplaces to be turned into tools of despotic rule. We will not surrender our professions or our country to authoritarian power.
The fire is here. The Firewall is up. Stand with us.
