"Republican members of Congress could stop Trump at any time. In the case of tariffs, they could simply reassert their constitutional power to manage tariffs. If they choose not to and the economy doesn’t recover and thrive as Trump keeps promising, voters can be expected to hold them, as well as him, to account."
Democracy is built on transparency, horizontal equality and non-violence. MAGAngterism, like all criminal enterprises, everywhere, any time in history, is built on secrecy, top down loyalty, and violence.
Obama and Biden had the least transparent administrations in modern history.
Trump gives press access multiple times daily in any and every venue and context.
His Communications staff has allowed multiple players from alternative, non-MSM platforms in to participate in the information flows, ending the dominance of deep state controlled platforms in the "news" releases of the Executive branch.
You can watch his damn Cabinet Meetings live on FoxNews... yes they have a bit of theatre but it's a lot better than the alternative, haveingthe public left in the dark and fed BS, like the proverbial mushrooms.
Some sad stories in your piece, although a lot of factual corners were cut and the rhetoric lathered on to amp up the pathos. My question is, was it so hard to foresee these kinds of outcomes - the outrage and motivation to stand against growing criminality and lawless political fraud - when the Democrats sought to bring in somewhere on the order of 15 million poorly vetted foreigners (many dumped out of emptied jails), who were strategically distributed to key states and election districts, so that the next Census would bring the Donkeys a bumper crop of shiny new Blue congressional seats?
And did no one imagine that giving a few million of these putative "asylum seekers" driver's licenses and Social Security numbers would pave the way for various forms of ballot manipulation and election influence operations? Do you really think these schemes would not generate an equal and opposite wave of "JUSTICE" payback? "Tren de Democratica Partido" is what we're really seeing a strong, visceral reaction to, not any inherent defect in the motives of MAGA and those implementing Trump's America-First policies.
Maybe you should have waited a little longer, you've been huffing MSM propaganda vapors for too long, it affected your moral and political judgement. I'm all for compassion to the less fortunate, but "Team Big-Gov" should have thought about the consequences of lying that the "Border was Secure" while they welcomed in their future Voting Bloc Power-Up. The fiscal and public safety costs were pretty high, even if we can agree that many came here to work and could make worthwhile contributions to our culture and society over the longer term, if our strained social fabric resources can handle the load.

Thanks for being a good human being.
